Navigationally challenged iOS 6 users of the world can now breathe a sigh a relief. Google Maps for iPhone was released on December 13th and boasts Street View, directions and turn-by-turn navigation, along with all the usual mapping goodness. The app hit number one on iTunes in just a few hours, and amassed a huge ten million downloads in its first two days.

What did the world search for in 2012? Whitney Houston, Gangnam Style and Hurricane Sandy, apparently. Google has put together the fascinating Zeitgeist 2012 website which showcases the results of scouring 1.2 trillion searches made across the globe over the past year.
Lengthy and very informative interviews with two of the most important CEOs in IT were published this month. Tim Cook looked back over his first year at Apple in a Bloomberg exclusive, while the usually press-shy Larry Page of Google spoke to Fortune. Both well worth a read.
